Today you would have been 5 years old. We'd be getting ready for Kindergarten. I know you would have been excited.
I wonder what kind of cake you'd be begging for. I cannot believe I've made three without you now. "I Am Like a Star" was one of your favorite songs, so I hope you would like this year's cake.
I love you. I miss you. The words sound so trite, but they are full of the love and longing of a mother's heart. I hope you can be with us at least for a few moments today.
